(It’s Friday the 13th and I got a challenge to do a poem about a Sunday! So I decided to put those two together and this is what I came up with! A co-worker issued the challenge!)
On a Sunday afternoon
The bathroom sink was colored
By the crimson red flowing
Of the blood of the Mother
Two sisters entered the bathroom
On a fateful summer day
“Oh come dear sister,” the eldest said
“Let’s have some fun today!”
She turned off all the lights
And chanted “Bloody Mary!”
3 times she said the words
And they witnessed something scary
They turned on the lights and
The mirror showed a face
She was beautiful, but covered in blood
T’was all over the place
The elder tried to turn around
She tried to run away
But the woman in the mirror
Would not let her run today
As she reached the doorknob
She’d barely looked away
When a gash arose upon her throat
And her blood began to spray
The other let out a scream
Her body frozen in fear
A third young woman burst into the room
Saw the scene and shed a tear
For what she saw that afternoon
The bathroom sink was colored
By the crimson red flowing
Of the blood of her mother
